Tayo Adeeko joined the board in August 2024. She began her career in education as a founding elementary school teacher in Crown Heights, Brooklyn (NYC), teaching second and third grade. She also worked as a founding school administrator at a charter school in Washington, D.C. These experiences in urban education guided her research interests in education policy, school systems and governance as a graduate student at Ohio State.
She earned her undergraduate degree in political science and international affairs from the University of Colorado Boulder. She has a masters of education in elementary education from Hunter College and a doctorate from Ohio State University.
