My Kids Lunch
DDES will continue to partner with My Kids Lunch and CharterChoice Collaborative (our School Food Authorizer) to provide healthy meals to students. We will offer Breakfast and Lunch service to all DDES students. Both breakfast and lunch will be served in the classrooms, allowing for a flexible meal-time schedule.
Meal Program Cost
DDES is excited to participate in the Healthy School Meals for All program, a new statewide program approved by Colorado voters. DDES will be offering FREE breakfast and lunch to all students for the 23-24 school year. Even though meals will be provided for free, it is important for family to continue sharing household income information in order for DDES to receive full access to federal funding. We strongly encourage all families to complete the Family Economic Data Survey (Previously Free & Reduced Lunch Application) online here. If needed, paper applications will be made available at the school.
Family Economic Data Survey – DDES uses for state funding and does not have access to information
We ask that ALL DDES families complete the Family Economic Data Survey, even if you know you most likely do not qualify and do not plan to have your child(ren) participate in school meals. DDES does not partner with DPS for our meal program, so families will need to complete the survey provided by DDES/CharterChoice for your child(ren). Once the application is processed, CharterChoice Collaborative will send out letters of eligibility. If an email was provided on the application, eligibility notification will be sent to the email provided.
- This application is crucial for other services and for the amount of federal funding our school will receive for our programs.

Negative Balance
DDES cannot be held financially responsible for covering your child’s breakfast or lunch balance. Since school meals are free this year, we ask that if you have a remaining negative balance (from a previous year at DDES) to please pay that as soon as possible. Please reach out to the front office if you need assistance or have questions.
How do I order school meals?
To ensure we have enough food available for all participating families, please make sure you complete the breakfast and lunch order forms. Orders are due every other Monday by 5pm.
- Order forms will be on our website and on the ReachWell App.
- ORDER FORMS ARE DUE EVERY OTHER MONDAY BY 5pm
- Using this online order form, parents will pre-order meals for their child(ren) two weeks in advance. Pre-ordering helps lower waste and ensures we have enough meals for every child that needs one.
- Parents will be able to indicate what days you would like to order breakfast or lunch during those two weeks.
- If your child(ren) will participate occasionally depending on what is being served, please make sure to order meals for those days.
- If your child(ren) will participate everyday this year, this form will only need to be filled out ONCE this school year.
What if my child has allergies?
- Please reach out to the front office for a meal modification form. The front office will work with the food vendor, your child’s crew leader and food server to ensure your child’s dietary needs are met.
