Natalie Calanni, 5th Grade Crew Leader, is from Plano, TX and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Administration and Health Studies. She has poured her heart and soul into two careers in her adult life: Child Forensic Interviewing and Education. She has 6 years of experience advocating for children who have experienced maltreatment and will be entering into her 5th year of teaching. She taught 5th grade Expedition at DDES from 2017-2019 and is excited to be back in such a beautiful community of humans! Prior to teaching at DDES, she taught Kindergarten and 2nd grade in Dallas, TX. When she isn’t molding young minds, she is outside as much as humanly possible! She enjoys any and all things active (with a special place in her heart for rock climbing), writing and recording music with her husband and chasing her sweet 1 year old boy around.
