Marnie joined the DDES Board in August 2021, after serving as Executive Director at the Odyssey School of Denver for five years. Before that, Marnie supported schools and districts with school turnaround and implementation of Expeditionary Learning core practices through her work at the Colorado Department of Education and EL Education. She also served as a school and district administrator at Denver Public Schools. Previous to her time in educational leadership, she taught middle and high school language arts in EL and non-EL schools. Marnie has received a BA in American Studies from University of Maryland a MA in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Colorado, Boulder, and Principal licensure from University of Colorado, Denver.
