Claire

I grew up in Carmel, Indiana with my parents and younger brother. I graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Learning and Development, Early Childhood Education in 2021. During my time at Texas I also competed on the women’s swim team. I moved to Denver a year ago to begin my teaching career in Denver Public Schools. I taught 2nd grade at DCIS at Ford in Montbello before joining the DDES family. I feel so grateful to be working at a school that is so dedicated to the values of EL, to Denver, and to its students, staff and families. I am currently pursuing my Masters of Education in Educational Psychology–Social Foundations at the University of Virginia focusing on social emotional learning and education reform. In my free time I love to practice yoga, take my dog to Cheesman park, cook, hike, and spend time with family and friends.
