I have been a math teacher for 8 years(10th year teaching all together). Math is my passion and my belief is as long as you like money and food or a combination of both, you can like math. DDES and our other sister schools have found that one of the keys to true success in the classroom is to tie our student’s education to the real world surrounding us. What’s a better subject to teach with this mindset than math? My goal is to make sure that our children are nurtured and molded not only for advancement but for a new acceptance of math!

I was raised in Dallas with my mom and my little brother. I am now a new/growing mom of a toddler(taking any advice).  I have always had some involvement in education. I have tutored in math since I was 15 years old and knew then that I wanted to be a teacher. The joy  from seeing the light bulb turn on for people(specifically kidos). When  helping, it always makes my heart swell. I knew that I wanted that same feeling in my career choice so decided to further my education in well… education!! Receiving my Bachelor’s in Early childhood development and Education from Huston-Tillotson University. In  my journey to being a teacher, I have worked with all levels from teaching kindergarten to tutoring for the SAT/ACT(Math). My hobbies include sleeping, music, playing games, sleeping, unique art projects, cooking, sleeping, animals, anime, trying different foods, and sleeping. I love arts of all sorts! I have written, acted, and produced different plays and musicals professionally and for fun.
