My name is Aaron (he/him/his) and will be a Crew Leader for Kindergarten this year at DDES! My vision is to craft a space that promotes healthy rhythms where your student can experience belonging and know that their contribution is valued.
I grew up in Los Angeles, Ca, with my parents and three sisters. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Life Pacific College in San Dimas, Ca, in 2012. I moved here to Denver in 2013 and started my career in education in 2015, working with students diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Before working at DDES, I spent six years at a school in Globeville called Laradon. While there, I worked in several direct support roles and led a classroom team for the last quarter of the 2021-2022 school year. The 2023-2024 school year will be my 8th year in education and my first year leading a classroom team at DDES. During this school year, I will complete my teaching licensure program through the Public Education and Business Coalition Teacher Residency Program. Today I live in Capitol Hill with my wife and two cats. We selected our neighborhood for its accessibility. Our household is one car by choice, and living downtown makes that possible. My values align strongly with DDES and engaging actively in our community. When not working at DDES, I enjoy rock climbing, riding my bike, exploring Denver’s street art, and reading. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with your student and look forward to getting to know your family better!
