Crissy Doty, is an Iowa native and a graduate from The University of Iowa (Go Hawks!) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Crissy started her education career teaching first and second grade in Iowa before diving into the wonderful world of Kindergarten in Chicago. During this time she earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Viterbo University and discovered her love of EL Education at Polaris Charter Academy. After a move to Denver, Crissy was happy to find her school home at DDES. Prior to her role as Director of Student & Staff Support, she served in several roles including Kindergarten Crew Leader, instructional Coach and Assistant Principal. One of her favorite parts of her job is sharing her therapy dog, Auggie, with the DDES community. In her free time, Crissy enjoys traveling, cooking, riding bikes, reading, and spending time with her family.
