Dean of Culture & Instruction
Natalie Calanni, Dean of Culture & Instruction, is from Plano, TX and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2011. She has poured her heart and soul into two careers in her adult life: Child Forensic Interviewing and Education. She spent 6 years advocating for children who have experienced maltreatment and is now in her 10th year as an educator—with 8 of those dedicated to the DDES community. Prior to her time at DDES, she taught Kindergarten and 2nd grade in Dallas, TX. When she isn’t molding young minds, she is outside as much as humanly possible! She enjoys any and all things active (with a special place in her heart for rock climbing), writing and recording music with her husband (a CTE Audio Engineering Educator at CEC), and chasing her upcoming DDES 1st grader and sweet 2-year-old around.
