Literacy and Math Interventionist
My name is Korinne Payak. I was born and raised here in Denver, a TRUE native! After studying sociology at the University of Kansas. I returned to Denver where I received my teaching license and masters in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from The University of Colorado Denver. I am entering my eleventh year as a teacher, I spent six years in 3rd grade at DDES and I am beginning my fourth year as a third, fourth, fifth grade math and literacy interventionist. As an interventionist, I look forward to sharing my love for reading and exploring new ways to support students. I am excited to build new relationships with all of you and continue friendships with those of you I’ve been lucky enough to know.
This summer we enjoyed many days at the pool, a vacation to Florida and to Lake Michigan. My husband, Robert and I have two very busy young boys. Joseph is now 3 years old and Patrick is 16 months old! So in our house, we have a nonstop walker and nonstop talker! I’m looking forward to beginning my 10th year here at DDES.
