Third Grade Crew Leader
I am so excited to be leading a 3rd Grade crew this year! I am originally from Southern California and grew up there and in Kona, Hawaii. I have been here in Colorado since 1997 and all my kids were born here. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola Marymount University in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Teaching. I have an endorsement in Family and Consumer Studies and have taught Preschool, Elementary, Middle School Home Economics, High School Food Sciences, Relationships, Life Skills, and was the Director of the Teen Parenting Program. I have also subbed in every grade level and was a Paraprofessional here at DDES last spring. I am very glad to be a part of this crew!
I live here in Downtown Denver with my husband, Mike, son Sawyer (6 and in 1st grade at DDES), two dogs, Mo and Bluey, and our cat, Huey. I also have four adult children, Riley, Regan, Liam, and Reece, and one grandson, Xeo. Spending time with all my family is logistically difficult, but one of my favorite things. I love being on a beach anywhere, traveling, and reading. I read more than a dozen novels over the summer!
