Fourth Grade Crew Leader
A little bit about myself, I was born in South Dakota but after getting adopted I grew up in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Early on as a freshman in HS and throughout the rest of my time there, I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer at a neighboring town’s after school day care program that eventually drew me back to education and working with kids. I graduated from Carthage College as a student-athlete in 2021 with a Bachelors in Communication from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. After moving to Milwaukee during college I realized a bigger city is what I needed and soon after graduating, made the big move out here to join my brother and longtime love of Colorado sports. After spending a year at a restaurant as a Manager, I found the wonderful opportunity to make a bigger impact on the world here at DDES as a teaching assistant, and now have moved onto a bigger role as a 4th grade math teacher. I love helping students become the best learners they can. In my free time I like to watch movies, Denver sports teams and learn more about my indigenous heritage as a Lakota native as well as spending time with my 18 years young cat, Mimi.
