Literacy and Math Interventionist
Hi! I’m Becky (she/her/hers), one of the Literacy and Math Interventionists working with kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade. I am thrilled to be part of the DDES team helping students grow their skills and confidence.
I fell in love with books after reading Mrs. Piggle Wiggle in second grade and am always on the hunt for my new favorite book. A Marriage at Sea: A True Story of Love, Obsession, and Shipwreck, The Correspondent, and Everything is Tuberculosis topped the list in the last year.
I continue to use my elementary math skills when I design/measure the pieces of my annual gingerbread house or calculate my slow-but-steady running pace. I have a BA from Brigham Young University and a Master of Humanities degree from University of Colorado, Denver. I live in a little red brick bungalow with my husband and our twin daughters (who were in DDES’s first kindergarten crew and are now freshman in college).
